An exhibition curated by Beatrice Buscaroli and sponsored by the Ministry of Culture’s Directorate-General for Contemporary Creativity in collaboration with the MAXXI Foundation, as part of the celebrations marking the 800th anniversary of the death of St. Francis of Assisi.
The exhibition, hosted in the Extra MAXXI spaces and dedicated to a contemporary reinterpretation of the Franciscan figure, offered a critical reading of the thought of St. Francis, interpreted as the origin of the gaze, the foundation of our relationship with the world, and the primary impulse of artistic creation.
