“Quando il cielo finisce” is the work that, in November 2025, gave its title to Mastrovito's second solo exhibition at Michela Rizzo in Venice. Directly inspired by the new works exhibited a few months earlier at the Palazzo Ducale in Sassuolo, this large installation consists of a single 160-page artist's book, printed in 80 copies arranged side by side in ten rows and eight columns and opened in pairs of consecutive pages: the first book is open at page 2, the second at page 4, the third at 6, and so on, until reaching page 160.
With a nod to Boetti, the work represents a visual synecdoche: although each individual book contains the entire work, all 80 volumes are needed to make it visible in its entirety.
