This work from the summer of 2006 is one of Mastrovito’s first attempts to create a dialogue between painting, drawing, collage and video projection—a type of work pioneered by “In & Out of Life,” presented a few months earlier by 1000eventi Gallery in Milan and continued in the following months with “Anyway the wind blows” and “Johnny,” leading to his first experiments with rotoscoping the following year in “Robespierre” and “Eine Symphonie des Grauens.”
