With this work, at the end of 2008 Mastrovito began experimenting with works created directly using books as objects to be transformed, cut up, or simply photocopied. In this case, he created a “book of endings” by photocopying and enlarging the last pages of 100 volumes taken directly from his personal library to A3 format.
The content of this work anticipates the large permanent installation created in 2014, “Neverending End: 100 last pages,” in Bergamo.
