At the end of his six-month residency at ISCP (International Studio & Curatorial Program) in Brooklyn (New York), and coinciding with the spring opening of the artist studios to the public, Andrea Mastrovito made his first attempt at a drawing performance using soccer balls and graphite, experimenting with a technique that he would use a few weeks later for his performance and permanent work "Kickstarting!" in the nearby courtyard of Saint Joseph in Brooklyn. For the occasion, Mastrovito used soccer balls to create a frieze along three of the four walls of the small studio, depicting an imaginary circus populated by bears, jugglers, and solids of melancholy. The work remained visible for a few days before being erased.
